During the commemorative dates in the town, people use to visit their relatives who have already passed away.
Tomorrow, it’s mother’s day in #Peru and locals from San Jeronimo are getting ready to visit the cemetery to bring flowers for their beloved ones.
Although this cemetery looks a bit old, it is not very antique. It openened approximately during the first half of the past century (~1900) and antique graves from the previous cemetery were moved to this new location.
My grandparents were alive during this event and by now, only my grandfather is still alive and with 94 years old he’s reminding that moment from his childhood as if it just had happened. I love history. We all should never forget our past.
