I recently had the opportunity to visit the San Francisco Asian Art Museum. This is one of the Museums I wanted visit from a long time, but some how was not able to visit. Good thing is Museum offers free entry to visitors on 1st Sunday of the month. It is located right next to Civic Center. There are few parking garages close by, on weekends parking costs around $10 in the garage right next to the Museum. Even though entry is free on 1st Sundays of the month, it is better to RSVP and get a ticket online,
Here is a picture captured at the entrance of the Museum. Museum has many accessibility features. As you see there are ramps for wheelchair to enter the museum. Also there is a Wheelchair drop off location close to the entrance too.

Museum has 3 Floors. 1st Floor has a Restaurant/Cafe Asian Box and Gift Shop. Also some special exhibits which are paid are on First Floor. Museum has over 2000 artworks from different Asian Culture.
We started our Museum exploration from the Third Floor. Third Floor houses collection from South Asia, The Persian World and West Asia, Southeast Asia, The Himalayas and the Tibetan Buddhist World. Here is a collage of few exhibits captured during the visit.

Also Museum has many accessibility features. As I mentioned earlier there are ramps for wheelchair at the entrance and also drop off location for wheelchair close to the Museum. All floors are accessible through elevators. Restrooms have accessibility features. Museum allows guides and Service animals. Museum offers Tactile translators for visually impaired. Museum offers Audio tour transcripts.
