Hi

I just became google street view trusted, so excited :slight_smile:

I plan on purchasing a Samsung Gear 360.

I have an iPhone 6 and a tripod.

Has anyone used a Samsung gear 360 with an iPhone before, if so please share your experiences

This will influence my purchase.

Isn’t it better to look at a camera that is fully supported by the iPhone?

Check which phones can fully use the GEAR360, it’s not many.

i think you should try 360 Fly Camera.

it is better then Samsung Gear 360.

Samsung Gear 360 is compatible only with Samsung phones (S5 an higher). You dont be able use aplication of this camera on iPhone.

Yes, you are right.

in iPhone you can shoot Better Photos then Samsung gear 360.

but 360 Camera are for Professional Use.

you can take Photos very easily and quickly.

so 360 camera are proffered.

The official Samsung page says that only iPhone 6s and newer devices are supported (although with limited functionality). I think this is just a marketing trick by Samsung. Theoretically, there is nothing Samsung devices can do that iOS devices can’t.

(I have an iPhone 6 and have the same problem.)

Great! Congratulations. Trusted with 50 spherical photos published on maps. But doing it as a business requires experience. Samsung gear for business is not bad.

I think it will be best getting The Ricoh Theta.

The Fly 360 is out of my budget.

I have the Gear 360 and an iPhone X. The Gear 360 is an ok camera. It is kind of slow though. It says 8 seconds wait in between shots but it is much longer while using the Google Street View app. The plus of the Gear 360 is that it is very cheap right now. You just have to be sure to get the 2016 version not the 2017 version as the 2017 version is not compatible with the Google Street View app.

That Fly 360 camera that others have mentioned might be interesting but I’m not sure if it is officially supported. The Ricoh Theta is a nice camera but much more expensive.
