Saint Gevork Monastery was built in 14th century and is located in the village of Mughni, in Aragatsotn Province of Armenia.
This old church stands within a rectangular walled monastery. This church greatly differs from many other churches, that are in Armenia with its architecture. The church of Saint Gevork mainly contains two colors of stone; a darker gray tuff and an apricot colored tuff. The walls of the church were painted in the 17th century by Naghash Hovnatan whose other works include decoration of the Etchmiadzin Cathedral and other churches near Yerevan and Agulis.
