Sa Palomera: The Stunning Gateway to Costa Brava in Blanes

Hello Local Guides!

Yesterday, I visited the beautiful coastal town of Blanes in Spain. The absolute highlight of my trip was exploring Sa Palomera—the iconic rocky landmark that officially marks the beginning of the stunning Costa Brava coastline.

:man_walking: The Climb to the Summit

Sa Palomera sits right between the main beaches of Blanes. There is a well-maintained stone staircase with handrails that leads you directly to the top. The climb is short, a bit steep, but totally worth the effort!

:ocean: Breathtaking Panoramic Views

Once you reach the summit, the 360-degree views are absolutely breathtaking. You can see the entire crescent-shaped sandy beach of Blanes, the vibrant town buildings, and the endless blue horizon of the Mediterranean Sea.

:light_bulb: Quick Tips for Local Guides:

  • Footwear: Wear sturdy walking shoes or sneakers, as the stone steps and rocky surfaces can be uneven.
  • Best Time: Visit during the late afternoon or golden hour for the best lighting and photography.
  • Accessibility: It is easily accessible on foot from the main town promenade and a short walk from the Blanes train station.

If you love coastal views and nature photography, Sa Palomera is a must-visit spot in Catalonia!
