[RU] How to recalculate a place rating?

The screenshot shows a common situation - there are a number of place ratings (without a review), there are a number of reviews. Both are displayed in the place description. But the so-called. “average rating” is not the arithmetic average of these “stars”.

How exactly is a place rating considered? If it is recalculated rarely, how to make it recount more often? What about those places that have a single rating, and it does not meet the “average rating”?

Hello @Korwin

As I interpret, the rating is a weighted average using the formula (5N5 + 4N4 + 3N3 + 2N2 + 1*N1)/ (N5 + N4 + N3 + N2 + N1)

Where the N1 N2 etc are the count of ratings for the respective stars.

Thus, if there is only one rating, the POI will display that directly.

However, what we can see are only the ratings which appear in the reviews and not the ones without a review.

Nevertheless, you can verify that for the places for which every person who has rated the place has created a review too.

Hi @Korwin ,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! : ]

Should the inquiry be more related to Google Business, I would suggest checking out the Google Business Help page for further reference. (I would also wanted to add the article Score ratings for local places)

Much appreciated also from @C_T for the details!
