I love to travel and discover new places around the globe. I have two tag categories on Google Maps: one for the places I’ve been and one for the places I want to see including cities, attractions, museums, historical spots and especially restaurants.
I’ve taken many trips abroad. My first “big travel” has been to California. During my trip, I couldn’t lose the opportunity to stop at Google’s Main Campus to see the heart of this big world of Google and I was blown away.
Before leaving for a new adventure, I always use Google Maps to plan my trip and find inspiration from other Google Local Guides.
Being a Google Local Guide means investing time for others. Life can be hectic, and often people don’t think to spend a little extra time and help give directions to others. I’m sure this community of guides is made of people who really want to build something special for the benefit of others.
As an Italian I’m a food nut and I was thrilled when I was the first to review a new brunch spot in Modena. Not only was I able to review the experience, but I was able to give others an idea of the dishes by posting photos and descriptions of each plate I tasted. I always try to provide an opinion about location, quality-price balance, food presentation and service for the restaurants I visit in order to help them and to share them with the community. I’ve found it really helpful to track the places I’ve already visited to keep them in mind and suggest the most impressive ones to my friends.
Italy has an amazing food culture, and I want the online Italian food community to grow around me.
I plan to organize a meet up very soon in Modena to make connections with other local guides to share our common interests.
