Hello local guides,
The route to and away from our park is not correct at the moment. Our park is open for 7,5 weeks in spring and welcomes over 1 million people. The current route goes through Lisse and Lisserbroek city centre which is not build for that much traffic. Are there any tips you local guides have for us to secure a safe route? We try to contact Google Maps for years now but unfortunately never got to solve it.

while I don’t know, how to really solve this, one suggestion, though:
You could use My Maps, to draw the suggested route, as well as the to avoid route and post the map on your Website.
That map might also help, if someone her on Local Guides Connect knows how to solve the problem using Google Maps as navigation system.
I assume, you also contacted other providers of navigation systems?

Looking to your name, and your logo, I tried to guess in any case. Is this the place you are talking about?
Google Maps suggests the route based on the best travel time, also suggesting “fuel saving” options with travel times that can sometimes be a few minutes longer.
If traffic, and consequently travel time, increases, Google Maps usually suggests alternative options.
I tried to do four simulations coming from four different directions, and Google Maps never suggested me to go through Lisse (at least I think so)
If the high traffic is causing an issue in the two town, the issue should be raised by the city council, as the have additional tool (e.g. for traffic restrictions).

Thank you so much for your tips. When you navigate from the South it seems to send people through the city unfortunately.
I did not know businesses were not allowed on this program. I will delete this topic then, our apologies. Because it is not a commercial question but to ensure traffic safety we thought it was allowed.

What is not permitted is to join the Local Guides program to represent a business
To clarify @ErmesT’s statement: it is not allowed to use Local Guide Connect to present or advertise for your business, but I think it is certainly possible to ask questions like you did. What makes it a bit tricky, is the fact, the profile name clearly identifies world wide well known tourist attraction.
