Rotorua water front

Rotorua is the most famous mud volcano and hot spring area in the Southern Hemisphere. People also call it the geothermal centre of New Zealand. The topical stretch of Rotorua is more than 100kms. Entering the thermally active area, it seems that you have entered the fairyland in the Journey to the West. The clouds are steaming and misty, and suddenly clear and blurry. When people travel in this fairyland, there will also be a feeling of fluttering. It is said that the formation of this topical zone is the result of frequent and vigorous strata. On such a hot rock, you can still see several dwarf trees or shrubs stubbornly rooted here, and we are amazed.

My favourite places are the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland and Polynesian Hot Spa.

Today, I only post some photos at the Rotorua Lake waterfront. There are activities like cruise and jetboat, and scenic flight.

Hey @katoibrah Thank you for the good words!

Great clicks @OliverKIWI . and yes, having been there myself, the Rotorua waterfront is beautiful, typical of other New Zealand waterfronts like Tauranga, Akaroa and Napier.

Thanx bro:) Do you go to the Polynesian Spa Pool? @AdamGT

No, unless it was during an earlier trip that I cannot recall because I’ve been to many thermal springs and places like that in New Zealand @OliverKIWI . I did however visit the amazing Mount Hot Pools (contributions in the queue pending approval), which I can highly recommend.

@AdamGT I see. Mount Hot Pools is at Mt Manganui. I really like the thermal pool. It’s relaxing. Have you been to Hot Water Beach?

Yes correct MountManganui. Yes I have been to HWB…it was very crowded…I think someone lost their watch or maybe there was a rumor about lost treasure because they were all madly digging with shovels @OliverKIWI

Were you in your togs? @AdamGT The water is quite hot:)

Yes @OliverKIWI . The water was surprisingly hot but typical I guess of many waters like this and given that New Zealand is surrounded by so many volcanoes.
