It were introduce 30 years ago , since then It is been part of the top five incomes of Ecuador , there are over 200 varieties of Roses and most the production is commercialized all over United States.
Price range on the field usd 0,30 till 0,50 cents per stem
At the end at the flower shops abroad , its price will be over usd 1,50 per rose.

The country is world number 1 producer of rose oil – from the rare rose type Rosa Damascena.
You mentioned that this business is of the top five incomes of Ecuador, the exported roses are sold in flower shops only, or they are used in different ways like cosmetics, etc.?

Some of the Rose farms are producing some cosmetics, chocolate & liquor.
I believe in your country it is also the same way.
