I never really drove a motorbike back in India. I never had one and there was no need to as we always had a car and my parents won’t allow me to buy a bike
I was in Pattaya, Thailand last year when I was surfing through google maps for decent place to try out some water sports but instead I found a pretty good motor bike rental service. Google local guides had rated the shop a good 4.8/5. So I decided lets try lol !!! Renting motorbikes is something completely normal especially in South East Asia. Officially I think you need a license, but no one ever asks for one. It is the ultimate way to travel is very convenient and gives you an incredible feeling of being free. But be careful with renting a motorbike, there are many scams. Another pitfall is that it is prone to accidents. My personal experience was excellent. The rental service was a professional one. I got my bike in like 2 mins. I travelled by bike for 8-9 hours.Fyi, I am a natural lol
Returned it. No Scam ! Only Professionalism ! In my experience if the google ratings have been low for that shop I may not have tried it. Google maps really helped me.
Being a local guide is a lot of responsibility. Its not just about reviews. When we start to get more and more involved with reviewing we seem to forget that these are real businesses run by real people, its their bread & butter. When we review them it stays on for life till you remove it. Everyone can see it. Everyone acknowledges this. So when we write any review we have to think about the consequences which the business might face because of our review. Local guides programme has taught me to be responsible about what I should post publicly and how should I express my negative remarks in a positive way.
