Relatively recently, all my reviews with photos and videos are blocked by Google because they allegedly violate some rules. Interestingly enough, I posted two absolutely identical reviews. One was blocked, the other was not. Google keep sending the same response, which has done absolutely nothing to help me. Help me to understand the situation with reviews!

Posting the same review text twice is in itself a violation that the spam filter easily and correctly blocks.
Please provide more details if you want more help. Including Maps links to the place(s) and the review text(s).

Hello Morten!
The reviews was not the same. I posted reviews for 5 stores of the same retail chain. The texts were similar, but the pictures and videos were different. As a result 4 reviews were blocked.

I have had reviews of a series of sculptures hidden only because a single sentence was copied across the reviews. Pics were of cause different. So different pics is no guarantee.
Did you really visit 5 different branches of the same chain. Is that not very unusual?

Yeah, because I’m an area manager from these stores. I don’t understand Google’s principle and algorithm. Why are reviews blocked?
It would be very helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply. Just hitting Reply does not ensure we get notified by email.

Okay, then I know that the spam filter actually did the right thing.
Of cause we can not post reviews to places where we are hired or are professionally associated with. It is called conflict if interest.
You missed the point of posting reviews that Maps users can trust. If you want I can dig up the guideline you agreed to when you joined the program: is is not allowed to post reviews on your own business and to places you have been or still are employed by.
You risk being suspended from the program for doing so.

I don’t see any point in participating in the Google program. There will be no more reviews.
