Reviews and photos not getting published

For the past year or so I have been having huge issues where my reviews and photos are getting rejected for some reason.

A few times I have been able to request a manual check and my review has been accepted every time.

I’ve taken a lot of care about my reviews so I can’t undestand why this has started happening.

Most of them are in Swedish.

What can I do about this issue?

I checked your profile and I don’t see huge problems, as only a few of your contributions are taken down.

You might have missed the guideline related to redundant photos. Here are two examples:

Showing the same food/dish from different angles or zoom levels is considered too similar.

Your reviews looks fine to me so you may need to fill the form related to hidden contributions again.

The photos you are showing are accepted photos, can you see my rejected photos? There are loads and loads of photos that has been invisibly rejected.

I cannot see my rejected photos, they just disappear.

I also get photos rejected from places that barely has any photos, like this place:

Barely any photos, but all my photos have been rejected, without notification.

I’ve put in my information there several times with no success, my reviews keep getting rejected for no reason.

I’m sorry about your issues with photos and reviews.

When a review related to a place that is inside the EU is made private you are notified about that. As you said that only in some cases you were able to appeal, the explanation can be that:

  • Some of the review was blocked because of the attached media. In this case you are notified but to fix the review you have to delete the media that is triggering the filter.

Or

  • The review was related to a place not in the EU. If so you will not receive any notification. The first thing to do is to try to remove the media to see if the review is published. If not you may have to edit the text to comply with the policies. If it doesn’t work there is an appeal form to fill, as you already know. The check may take several weeks, and you will not receive a notification about the decision of the team.

What do you mean when you say that you can’t see your photos? Are you talking about your profile, or the location where the photo was published?

I have started to review places without adding photos but it hasn’t helped.

I have also rewritten them but that hasn’t helped either.

And nothing in my review breaks any policies.

And all the places are in the EU.

And I am talking about my profile. The pictures I’ve uploaded don’t even show up on my profile. They don’t show up on the location either. They just disappear.

I get points for them and sometimes I even write the name of the dish. But then they just disappear.

No one here that can help me with my issues?

Where do I turn to get some actual help?

My reviews always get rejected, at least most of them. I don’t know why. I keep appealing, and they keep rejecting.

Yeah, it is really frustrating that you can’t get any information or actual help with issues like this…
