Reviewing like a Local Guide

As a mid-20’s guy I usually go out a lot and eat from almost a different restaurant each time. Since I live in Egypt which is known for its traditional food and we Egyptians, almost all of us, love food and enjoy it, there’s a huge competition between restaurants and fast food startups. That’s why it’s important that I review the restaurants I try for other people to know about. There may be a cheap looking restaurant with no marketing at all that serves very good food and with low prices which should be more famous through us (local guides). On the contrary, there may be an expensive restaurant that uses bad ingredients and provides poor taste or service which people should be warned about.
Reviewing a restaurant isn’t as easy as some may think. First and most importantly, you should review the quality of each ingredient and how well they are mixed with each other. Secondly, you review the general atmosphere and the service, whether the food took so long to be prepared or not, price range and of course you should provide some pictures of the food you ordered.
Some may say there are people who do this as their profession, food critics for example, let me tell you yes there are. However, the restaurant knows that this is a critic so they offer the best for him/her and that’s not always what is being served for regular customers.
This is our job for other customers. We go in, order, eat and review the food with no one knowing about it. We review in the shadows. We are the local guides.
