I just had a service provider provide me with a service. (What a concept!) I would like to post a review of that interaction. I am desperately searching for a button somewhere that says, “Post a Review.” I can’t find it. Instead, I’ve been shuffled off to something called Local Guides & I still can’t find a button for just posting a review. That’s all I want to do. Post a review. I see reviews from other folks. There’s even a review I posted myself 3 years ago. Evidently, the interface has been modernized & upgraded to the point of being impossible to use now. Do, please, somebody, help me.
Hello @GrampaWildWilly ,
Thanks for reaching out.
I am letting you know that I have moved your comment out of Meet the Google Moderators and labelled it How-tos. I have also given it a title appropriate to your question.
Usually the option to review a place is available right under the review summary on the Google Maps page of a business. But since you’ve already reviewed the place ones before, you are given the option to edit your review instead.
If you scroll a bit further down on you will see your own review with the option to “Edit your review”
Oh. How very non-intuitive. This is a new interaction I had with the same service provider. I wanted to write a brand new review, not modify my old one. I guess I can’t post a whole new one. OK. Yes, I did see the “Edit your review” button but I have been saying, in some frustration, no I don’t want to change my three-year-old review, I want to write a whole new one. Evidently, I can’t do that. So thank you for explaining this to me.
