Review Photos Not Appearing with My Review, but Visible in the Place Photo Gallery

Review Photos Not Appearing with My Review, but Visible in the Place Photo Gallery

Hello fellow Local Guides, Moderators, and Googlers,

I am experiencing an issue on Google Maps and would appreciate your guidance and support.

Place Link: Google Maps

Recently, I posted a detailed review for the above location and uploaded around 75 photos along with my review. The review itself is publicly visible and appears normally on the place listing. However, the photos I uploaded are not displayed together with my review.

When I open the place’s Photos section, all of those photos are visible there under my name as the contributor. This indicates that the photos have been successfully accepted and published by Google Maps. The issue is that they are not appearing beneath or alongside my review as expected.

To help the community better understand the issue, I have shared the location link above so that other Local Guides, Moderators, and Googlers can check the listing directly.

I would like to know:

  • Why are the photos not appearing with my review even though they are published in the place gallery?

  • Is this a known Google Maps issue or a review-photo synchronization problem?

  • Have other Local Guides encountered a similar situation?

  • Are there any troubleshooting steps or solutions available?

I have already confirmed that:

  • My review is publicly visible.

  • The uploaded photos are live and visible in the location’s photo gallery.

  • The photos are also not appearing under my contributor profile.

Therefore, the problem seems to be that the photos are not being linked to the review itself.

As a Google Local Guide Level 7, I regularly contribute reviews, photos, and updates to help the Maps community. I would be grateful if experienced Local Guides, Moderators, or Googlers could investigate this issue and provide guidance.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,

Why would you want to upload 75 photos to a post office?

There is a maximum for how many photos can be uploaded with a review. I believe it is 25 or 30.

For each photo you add you also increase the risk of getting blocked by the spamfilters.

Please share the Maps link to your review.

And Maps links to one if the images.

I’ve a question for you @Shyamtak001

Do you think your uploaded photos represent a place?

Hello @Shyamtak001
Your photos are not relevant to the listing you have uploaded to. I just checked and found that even school photos and lake images are there.

Hi @Shyamtak001 I am quite ensure about your questions:

  • What does it means “recently” for you? The place you shared (a post office) has only one review, posted by you 10 months ago.
  • it’s not possible to attach more than 50 media to a review. Can you explain how were you able to attach 75 photos?
  • why you used a very specific Place Of Interest (a post office) to add contents that are totally unrelated to that place? This is an extremely serious issue, and all the contents (the review and the photos) should be removed from Google Maps.

Dear Sir @NareshDarji

MY uploaded photos do represent a specific place. However, I mistakenly uploaded them to the wrong location. The photos actually belong to this place:

Unfortunately, they were uploaded under this Post Office location by mistake:

I sincerely apologize for the error. I have reported the issue and request that the photos be removed from the incorrect listing and associated with the correct place. Thank you for your understanding.

Kindly remove all the photos as soon as possible.

Dear sir @ErmesT

Thank you for your response and for taking the time to review this issue.

I would like to clarify that the photos were originally taken to document and showcase a nearby location of public interest. Unfortunately, they were mistakenly associated with the wrong place listing. Once I became aware of this issue, I raised the concern and sought guidance on how to correct it.

Regarding the term “recently,” I was referring to the time when I discovered that the content had been attached to the wrong place and realized the problem.

As for your question about the 75 photos, I honestly do not know how such a large number of photos became associated with that listing. I did not intentionally upload a specific count of 75 photos to that place, and I am also trying to understand how this occurred. It is possible that content uploaded over time became linked to the listing in a way that I did not notice earlier. I appreciate your observation and am equally interested in understanding the reason behind it.

I fully agree that content on Google Maps should always be relevant to the place where it appears. It was never my intention to mislead users or add unrelated content to a specific Point of Interest. If my actions have caused any confusion, I sincerely apologize.

I highly value Google Maps and the Local Guides community, and I am committed to following all guidelines. I am willing to cooperate fully and take any necessary steps to correct or remove the misplaced content.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance.

Kind regards,

Ok @Shyamtak001
This new version appears to be more realistic.
According to your first version:

As we know, we cannot attach more than 50 photos to a review, but indeed it’s possible to add an unlimited amount of photos to a listing in maps. So it looks like were NOT attacked to a review, but simply added to the place.

No, this is not possible. Photos are never moved from a place to another.
Looking at the content you uploaded, it seems you wanted to review and document an area. According to the Google’s policies this is not possible. We can review and document ONLY listings in Google Maps. The exact text is: “You can’t add photos or videos to addresses or coordinates.”
So, not having the possibility to add them in the village, you added them in the listing of the Post office instead.

As explained already, this is not possible. The only correct action is the one already suggested by @NareshDarji

The same if course should be done for the reviews.

After that, of course you can find the correct listings (if available ) and upload the correct photos over there.

Finally, I want to inform you that I am removing the solution you gave to my previous reply, because that reply isn’t the procedure to fix the issue, but simply a series of questions to better understand your post.

You don’t need to apologize. It is much more important that you take down (delete) all the wrongly uploaded photos.

Reporting them makes no sense as you are able to just delete them.
