I Ieft a favourable review for our local garage about 2 weeks ago after they put a new battery in our car and did a great job, but when I dropped in yesterday they asked me if I had removed my review on purpose and if there was a problem and why I removed my good review - but I hadn’t removed my review at all.
When I check my Google maps android it still correctly shows my review - however when I go Incognito in Chrome and check the map listing it doesn’t appear. I asked the garage owner to check via GMB and my review shows, but when you click on it, it says ‘Review not found’.
This is completely not how it shouldn’t work - the poor garage owners thought they had done something wrong and that’s why I had removed my review, which is untrue and potentially left me in an awkward situation and them feeling bad. How can I get this resolved - delete the review and re-post it?
You have uploaded 86 reviews. 4 if these are hidden. This normally happens when the text contains certain trigger words causing the spam filter to kick in. Try making a slight edit to your review. This will initiate a new check. Start removing 50% of your text after saving a backup. After re-submit you will immediately know if it goes public by reloading your list of reviews in an incognito tab.
It is always a good idea to go over all your reviews to make sure they all adhere to the guidelines, including:
Sometimes I just add or remove an extra to get the AI-filter to take a second look at my review.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to identify your hidden reviews. you basically need to compare the logged-in and the incognito view of the same to see which ones are missing in the incognito list.
It would be extremely helpful if Google would make a sorting available for this.
@C_T has some experience with using a spreadsheet to find them. Maybe he will kindly link to this info.

Now I am suggesting some further simplification of the process. There is no need to use a spreadsheet.
For that, you need opening your reviews tab on a Windows Desktop PC.
Then scroll down to the bottom. Since you have only 86 reviews, that would not be cumbersome.
Once there, use keyboard commands CTRL + A and CTRL + C in succession.
The entire content of all the reviews now stands copied to the Windows clipboard.
Now open a blank Google Docs file & then paste the content there using the key combination CTRL + SHIFT + V. Give a name, say “Private”.
(This specific key combination eliminates pasting of photos accompanying the reviews.)
Next, open your contributions in an incognito tab of the browser. Repeat the same steps as above & create another document say “Public”.
Now use the comparison feature in Google Docs through “Tools”, “Compare Documents” & then take up the two files Public and private for a comparison.
