If I get any facility(products) through online marketing or online purchasing or any other online services, can I review that society or organisation ?
Should I add the photo of the product which I get through online ordered ?
All this type of contribution will break local guiding rules and will be a spam contribution ?
Online only businesses are not eligible for a listing on Google Maps. So if the place has no physical storefront / entrance with signage you could suggest the place removed from Google Maps.
I’m sorry if this does not completely answer your question. But reviewing places that basically are spam on Google Maps should be avoided.
To me it does not look like a POI with opening hours and a place where you can go visit and meet staff. But I have no first-hand knowledge. I see photos but none of them are relevant for finding the place. No entrance.
Could you check out the place to see if it does exist?
Maybe other LG from India could advice you better. Here I would use streetview for a first check. Then I would use the puclic phone directory to validate the existence.
A place is allowed to add it’s office to the map, as those are a place that people might visit. But as stated it’s online operation cannot be added to the map, and you thus can’t review the online aspects. If you visit the office you’re more than welcome to review the office.
I also noticed that in their website they have attached multiple locations and their working zone. But, I haven’t yet visited the place. ( @MortenCopenhagen )
I don’t think you understand how the rules of the map work. There are no opinions, the users don’t determine the rules or best practices, but rather Google determines them all.
The place has at least 8 offices listed on the website and each one has a Google Maps link with the exact coordinates meaning it is not purely a virtual or online business.
If it is only the online service that you have availed like receiving a book via courier then I think you can review and rate the overall interaction and service availed without actually visiting the place.
Hi @KalyanPal I will happily give you my opinion but I guess you might not like it as it is the same as that of @Flash a purely online business cannot be added to Maps unless it has a physical presence as Flash has said. You can read most of the rules https://support.google.com/contributionpolicy/answer/7422880 there are more that are business specific and they are listed on Google My Business site.
Consider the Maps mission - to find the places worth visiting and the things worth doing. You can’t visit an online business and you can’t do anything with it because you can’t get there :).
The only grey area is that if the business is a real store, and you order online from that store and it is delivered to you, then I would think it would be fair to review that store because you have experienced it albeit virtually.
