I’ve quitted my home town to another city to study and the thing that helped me a lot when I was lost and had no idea where to go or what road should I take during my 3 years stay in this new city was, google maps and the reviews that local guides put on places especially restaurants (since I’m a university student and always searching for good food with low budget) and through the contributions of Local Guides on Google Maps, I’ve explored many new places and I’ve also been saved many times when I’ve got lost.
Thanks to google maps and its amazing local guides the new city now feels like home since I know almost every place and never gets lost and can even help others find their way.
But I’ve never though about being a google local guide until my dad suggested the idea since he’s an active local guid . I was so excited and really liked the idea so I started reviewing places I’ve been to, giving feedback about them and adding some photos in order to help people… I’ve just started my journey as a local guide but I’m at level 5 and always willing to improve.
something I’m really proud of is that I’ve created a list of some restaurants that I recommend for students with low budget as this was my main problem when I first came to university,I hope they’ll find it helpful and I’m willing to provide more help in the future and to improve my role as a local guide because being a local guide to me is like returning the favor google maps did to me.
