How to mark a normal area or a location as Restricted entry location?
Example:
-
Most of the government office are coming in restricted zone. Still they are accessible through map. Most of the location doesn’t shows that it is a restricted entry location.
-
Some park/ shopping area is located in Restricted zone for public(Like Township). They are also accessible in map.
There is a chance of public to enter into the zone.
What is the correct solution to identify that the location is restricted for a common public?

Hi @SachinVijayan
It is possible to have roads with restricted access on Google Maps as mentioned here.
But I doubt this is something we users can specify.
I suggest you seek help on this in the Maps support forum.
Hit the Community tab at the top and make a post. Please include an example with dropped pins to where the restricted part starts and ends (if relevant).
Cheers

Hi @MortenCopenhagen Sir,
As you mentioned, I have submitted a query in Map Support Forum.
Dear @TusharSuradkar sir,
Can you give me your opinion?
Hi @SachinVijayan
I have no idea.
@NareshDarji does this all time as part of his job too.
Let’s wait to hear from his expertise in this regard.
Hi @MortenCopenhagen sir,
As per your suggestion, I posted the question in Map support Forum and got the below solution
"Google Maps can either ban complete access or allow full access.
There is no option to create selective access,
The locations within many private companies are consistently restricted.
One has to obtain a visitor’s pass at the entry & proceed.
However, Google Maps doesn’t restrict access.
Nevertheless, there may be a warning when all the roads within the premises are private."
" We have to edit the road and mark them as private road"
" Then Maps will mention “Restricted access”.
However, that will not block access. The user has to decide."

Your follow-up question could be: How do we mark a piece of road as private?

Yes, @MortenCopenhagen
I have submitted the edit for some roads as private.
But all are in review.
Hopefully, after approval of those edits, I can check in Google map.
