Restaurants and Bars with Dinghy Dock

When you live on a boat, you have a dinghy as a car. So it is very important for us (live aboard cruisers) the access to a safe dock to park our dinghies every time we go to shore.

Consequently, restaurants and bars with (or close to) a dinghy dock are specially attractive to cruisers.

But before getting there, some information about the access to the dock are crucial such as if it is a private or public dock; if there are rocks, reefs or any obstruction close to the dock; if there is a marked channel to get in, if it is protected by the waves and tides, if it requires a stern anchor to park the dinghy, if there has ever been any dock robbery issue…

Does anyone here is a cruiser also and has any advice of information to add that might be useful for this case?
