Hello guys!!! Myself Yashpreet & I have something important to share with my fellow local guide community members.
Early morning today I was about to write a review about my workplace named “Lotus IT Park” on maps & as just i was trolling down reviews there came a review that was completely off the topic. The review was grabbed from our history books with no relation to the place reviewed. And hence I reported it on maps.
On further investigating deeper I found that the reviewer was a level 7 local guide, and every information on his profile like photos, reviews, etc was hidden from public.
On one side there are local guide who are desperately trying to improve the reliability & availability of information on map and on the other side there are certain local guides who are faking information on maps.
Through this post I would request everyone to avoid such kind of malpractices and also to report such activity on maps. Following are steps to report such or other relatable activities:
- Click on the options button on top right corner of that review.
- Click on report.
- Now a webpage will open asking your email id, enter it.
- In this step you should select the reason for reporting you can choose any of the following which is relatable to you:
A. Hatefull, violent & inappropriate content
B. Advertisment/ scam
C. Off topic
D. Conflict of interest. - Click submit
