Today I visited a place for something else and for some work I opened map and seen the places around me .
I frustrated by seeing people there had added adress of there home that’s there private things that not going to help anyone , have added this to map as business of housing society.
I thought once and I decided to report about all those places to map .
What you think I have did it wrong or right?
immature Kids out there always try to address of there home to map and sometimes map team approved them .
I think people have some maturity to understand map is to help people and guide them , not to misguide them by providing such information.
It is true that not all data on the map are correct, like other platforms, like the real world. There are always no accurate and even vandals everywhere. Because of this Google relies on the contributions of good users besides the smart system. And our edits could help to have a reliable map for guiding people in the best way.
And if our efforts were unsuccessful in some cases, there are ways like expressing on Connect or especially Google Maps Help Community to move them forward.
But we always should consider when removing a POI, we should completely be aware that is spam/private and is not a correct POI at the wrong address, or correct POI with the wrong name and etc.
