During these difficult times that we’re all going through, cities are showing themselves to our eyes as we’ve never seen before.

Due to my work obligations in an essential service, I am obliged to go to the centre of Milan:

here there are some shots for all of you of how the city is showing itself,

(these quick shots were taken while walking from work to home)

A big virtual hug to everyone from Milan,

Always and forever #Teamitaly

How is the situation in your county?

WOW! It is stunning to see Milan SO empty :disappointed_relieved: Such trying times and I know Italy has really been suffering. With everything going on, I appreciate you sharing your snaps while returning home @nicspelgatti . Continue to be safe - sending best wishes to you and your entire country.

Thank you @SP31 for your kind reply and thoughts for my country.

Is in these moments that we understand values of our life, values that are too much often forgotten by our busy daily routines.

How is right now the situation in your city? Miami isn’t it?

@nicspelgatti couldn’t agree with you more. Miami is pretty ok - there’s about a half split in people remaining indoors or breaking the social distancing in place. Our cases are following Italy’s trend which has many of us worried…hopefully we can flatten the curve.

Hi @VasT , thanks for your interest in my post :slightly_smiling_face:

Beautiful report @nicspelgatti Milan like this is a city never seen before.
I like very much the spherical photo that you take under the Vittorio Emanuele II gallery
The Central Station, Piazza Duomo, the Darsena, the Naviglio Grande, the very central via Manzoni and via Turati via Magenta. And then piazza della Scala, Corso Como, Porta Garibaldi: all the most iconic places in Milan, which appears unrecognizable in these days of emergency, are empty.
In the days of isolation due to the coronavirus emergency, the squares have become semi-deserted with the total absence of tourists to admire the monuments of the places of art.

Thanks for your message @MagoDiAz

Indeed Milan was like never before, did you had the chance (obviously for work reasons) to walk in some of those iconic places during the lockdown? :slightly_smiling_face:

thank you @nicspelgatti for your reply.

Yes, in this period I visit some iconic cities such as Venice, Trieste, Amsterdam and Rotterdam for work, absolutely different from before.
Social and behavioral changes have impacted profoundly changing the appearance of cities.

That’s very true @MagoDiAz during that time cities were profoundly different, in your opinion which one was the most astonishingly different in your opinion? :slightly_smiling_face:

Grande, sono Tito local guida di Lecco, io ho provato diverse volte a fare le foto alla galleria, ma non sono riuscito, comunque ti faccio i miei complimenti a vederlo così e al completo.
