For me, rentals of any kind are another great way Local Guides help each other. There are a lot of different websites per specific country that e.g. process reviews for users. With the Local Guides on Google Maps, we eliminate the need for local websites which often are harder to find if your a first and/or one time visitor to a place. To give a specific example, read further. As I work for a travel insurance company that offers rental car insurance, the availability of a large amount of reviews about car rental agencies reduces the risk of renting a car goes substantially. It is often an overlooked side of travelling, yet a large part in a lot of countries such as the United States or specific road trips. It shouldn’t be overlooked as an unfit car for the specific trip can have a big impact, that only surfaces at the arrival airport. Local Guides specifically can give good reviews about their local car rental agencies or at places they regularly visit, making a good preparation easier for the rest. Which is great!
