How to remove duplicate of a same place in a map.(same name).iam already choose the option “duplicate of other place”.But after that the same institution did not come up with the same name in the list that followed

The POIs have different categories at present. Please match those first through an edit.
Then follow the usual steps to merge these two places.

straightforward reporting would lead to NOT APPLIED .(Before reporting) Edit the Category , Address & map marker of duplicate following the original one .I mean edit the duplicate place as same as possible to original place.Then report that as duplicate .I think it will help you.
