I agree @LucioV A good deal of display space is wasted by the “placeholder box” as you call it.

If there was always photos then it would serve a purpose, but the way it is it just wastes the space and reduces the number of posts you can quickly see.

Do you mean that your idea is to remove the photo and leave text only for the preview (if there’s no image in the post)?

Did you know that there are selected 50 photos in the Connect photo library that can be used to illustrate your post? We encourage you to only use this feature if you don’t have relevant photos of your own.

Thanks @MashaPS no, I didn’t know that there is a connect photo library available.

The issue for me is that I’ve finished my 1000 photos around 1 year ago.

I will try to replace the standard placeholder with connect photos: where i can find?

Thanks for the question.

You can find the Connect photo library when writing a new post, by clicking on “Insert Photos” and after that chose “From Library”.

We still want to see the great photos you’ve taken yourself, so you can link out to your Google Maps profile when you can.

Otherwise I think I’s used once in the last two years :slight_smile:

All Local Guides have access to Connect library.

Sorry, I’ve missed specifying that this option is available when you start a new post. I’ll edit my reply, to be clear for everyone.

Hi @MashaPS I’ve tried to use a library image, here: https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/General-Discussion/Tips-for-shooting-360-with-your-smartphone/m-p/1014286#M164604 but for some strange reason the image didn’t show in the preview. Now I’ve replaced with an image from my saved.
