Remembering My First Post in Connect #ConnectTurns5Challenge

We are still celebrating the glorious 5th birthday of Local Guide Connect in the month of July!

After receiving a shiny new, cute badge of 5 years LG (I really love it), this month-long celebrations is getting more and more colourful with #ConnectTurns5Challenge!

Thanks to @Velvel I am taking a lovely trip down the memory lane to see my first post in Connect. It is good to know that in Connect, we can easily find all the basic statistics regarding this and voila, you got th

So, I have become Google Local Guide in 2017 when I was in New York, but I guess I was acquainted with Local Guides Connect platform in September 2018. Nevertheless, my first post was published in April 12, 2019. That is quite a big gap in terms of time. I could not recall why it took that long for me to post in Connect but I am happy that ever since, I try to share more and more posts here.

Well, my first post was entitled Taman Safari Indonesia, A Perfect Gateway for All. You can find the link HERE.

I wrote about Taman Safari, the free-range zoo that we have in several parts of Indonesia. I managed to visit the one in Puncak together with my family and we certainly had so much fun.

I guess that was the reason why I chose this story as my first post in Connect. The fact that Taman Safari is indeed a perfect gateway for all of us, especially families makes me believe that I have to share the story about this place. I can still vividly remember the joy we got as we spent much time with the family driving along the path and seeing the animals in their natural habitats. Looking at my kids’ big smiles and big eyes for all the excitement as they saw the animals surely makes the trip memorable.

For sure, I am glad I shared it in Connect. And I surely don’t mind going back there again with the family.

Well, in terms of writing, there is definitely a huge room for improvement. I should have added more details on the opening hours, the alternative ways to get there besides driving, information about accessibility, the best time to visit, and obviously some more photos LOL. Here, let me share more if you don’t mind.

Well, I guess things have improved from my first post to the recent ones I have submitted. Well, you guys tell me whether I have made some improvements on that department! All in all, I am super happy that I decided to post my first piece in Connect and continue to do so until now. I hope I can contribute more in the future and happy 5th birthday, Connect!

Oh my… I love this place so badly!! The last time I was there probably when I was in elementary or middle school

indeed right @Velvel … most of us have probably visit this place at some point of time. Even I would love to go back here again after 3-4 visits before heheh. They always have the new attractions, like giant pands as I put in my previous post. But now, with the pandemic, we need to see the new adjustment

Memang ya teh @indahnuria cetar membahana ,nulis post pertama saja tanpa error dan ketahuan penulis dan bloger asli makanya langsung bagus . Waduh apa yag harus aku tulis ya ,soalnya pos pertamaku di sini kualitasnya ya githu deh hahahaha .

Tapi karena ini tantangan insya Allah mau ikutan nulis , tunggu kuota kembali dulu ya .

Teh @Nyainurjanah betul yang Mbak @indahnuria bilang kalau you can share it anytime dan ga perlu malu-malu juga. Justru dari post pertama kita jadi tau perkembangan kita sampai sekarang bagaimana. Gak ada yang sempurna, teh. Kita sama-sama belajar ya

Kalau batas waktu challenge ini kutunggu sampai minggu ketiga bulan Agustus ya (ayooo masih banyak waktu lho!). Jadi rekapnya bisa lahir di akhir bulan ini hehehe…
