There are many wrong markings being appeared on google maps now a days. I don’t understand whether local guides are not educated properly. Lot of wrong markings, lot of spelling mistakes. Unfortunately, though you try to correct it, google map is not accepting. These wrong markings will definitely misguide the tourists. I can show several wrong markings in my area. Irrelevant photos are uploaded just to gain points. These things can spoil the basic good idea.

Thank you @ErmesT for the reply. But many a times these are not fake or span. Some local guides mark some places without having any knowledge about the map.
Actual place mentioned will be far away from the point marked. I don’t think that this is a spam. But this is due to lack of knowledge.
While marking a new place, when you enter the address already listed in map, the pointer will be moved to that particular point. I think this may be one of the cause.

What I can suggest in such cases is reporting an error on the map:
- Open Google Maps and make sure you’re signed in.
- In the top left, click the Menu and select the Send feedback option and then Edit the map option
- Follow the instructions, be as detailed as possible and press submit.
