its been more than 20days since i had added a place on map… Along with place addition i had uploaded some images of that place… the main problem is there is no snaps on that place where i added all images… why this happening… if i am searching all images in my upload section its showing there on that place…but when i am visiting on that place… i cant find anywhere all that images on that place…
Hello @PrashantPr
This is a known phenomenon. The source of displayed data is from different servers.
Synchronization of data between these different servers may need some more time.
You need revisiting the place after some more days.
Hi @PrashantPr ,
I noticed this also in the past week or so. The images uploaded while creating a new place just evaporate into thin air = disappear. I have changed my workflow to allow for this by only adding a single picture when creating a new place. Then as soon as it is published, I go back and add remaining pictures AND the one I uploaded while creating the place. This has not created any problems. I believe it is a bug. Just a couple of weeks ago this was not an issue. Maybe @sonnyNg would care to take a look at this.
Cheers
Hello @PrashantPr and @MortenCopenhagen
I posted a photo on one POI ten minutes back.
Within two minutes of posting that became visible on my public profile and also at the POI in “by you” section.
Nevertheless, nowadays, I post photos only through the “contribute” section, the ones suggested by Maps.
I have marked that photos placed through that route never face any time-lag.
One more observation.
I use a non-GPS camera to capture the maximum number of photos. However, I also click some pics on my phone along with that.
Once I upload those to Google Photos, the program guesses location, which is correct in most of the cases.
After some time, the photos become visible at the “Contribute” prompt.
Here, I believe, the program is only awaiting your consent to make the photo public at the location, thus eliminating delays.
I understand @PrashantPr s opening post as the problem is related to pics uploaded WHILE creating a new place.
Maybe I’m wrong. If not, your test and comments seem not very relevant.
Cheers
Hello, @MortenCopenhagen
I am aware of the original question.
That’s why I had stated in my reply that the problem is due to a synchronisation issue.
Nevertheless, even there too, place creation can happen even when one doesn’t attach a photo to that. (At least I was able to do so). Once the place comes into existence, the photo can be attached to that through the contribute section, conveniently.
Hi @PrashantPr ,
Thanks for reaching out to the community!
Just to be sure, would you mind sharing a location with the similar situation for an example?
Much appreciated also for having me mentioned, @MortenCopenhagen !
Hi @sonnyNg
I created this place and added this
https://photos.app.goo.gl/szgfhng7JV2C1G6BA
While creating the place.
The pic never showed up so I uploaded it again.
Cheers
Hi @MortenCopenhagen ,
Thanks for the example! : ]
Just to be sure, would you mind checking for the first link the the reply?
Hi @MortenCopenhagen ,
Thanks for having checked! : ]
It would seem that after the most recent check, the 3 photos are currently available on the location of Pearl Anglais af Eva Sørensen (those are really well taken photos!)
Just to be sure, as @C_T kindly mentioned at the beginning, the main point being discussed would be a location to be created and when adding photos, they would not be available on the point of interest itself, would it be in any way similar (partly) to the one mentioned in the post Picture not present in a place but still have a view count?
Hi @sonnyNg ,
The old case you linked to is what I would call “Pics get views from the zip code or city without being shown on the pin it was uploaded to”-problem.
This new problem is different. 1. The picture uploaded while creating a place does not even shop up on my list of added photos. 2. It is a new bug taking effect within the last week or two.
When the relevant developer sees this thread I think his reaction will be: Argh - I should have predicted at fixed that earlier.
All the best
Cheers
@sonnyNg ,
I was fortunate there was a stairway closeby so I could get a shot from above also.
Please check there should be 6 and not only 3 (nice) photos.
Cheers
Hi @MortenCopenhagen ,
Thanks for making it clearer!
I will check on it. : ]
P.s: Indeed there are 6 photos not 3, my apologies!
This is the place which i have added and these are the images link which are suppose to be there but they are not showing there but still i can see view count… now i dont know whether these are my image views or others… but the issue is it needs to be there on the location but it is not…

now please help me to understand exact cause of this error… iam not getting this kind of problem anywhere else… i am waiting for your responses
Hi @PrashantPr
Thanks for all the details. Since you have set your profile to private I can not see the images that you provided links to. If you don’t want to open your profile you can share the images via Google Photos.
The last one is viewable and it shows a document. While such documents can be helpful in documenting an edit they are seldom of any real value to other map users.
I searched the policies and found this on https://support.google.com/contributionpolicy/answer/7400114
“For example, you shouldn’t upload content that displays deals, coupons, pricing information or other promotions for a restricted product or service.”
A form could be taken as pricing information. Also, prices change over time so they soon become obsolete.
Cheers

hi @MortenCopenhagen it is visible now
Thanks for opening your profile., @PrashantPr .
Since the images are marked private your links to them just takes me to your contributions. So I can still not see the pictures.
I took a quick glance at your pictures and you have quite a lot of cleaning work to do. You need to also delete all photos with recognizeable faces. You have a lot. And you need to figure out what “near similar” means. As an example: You have posted 5 photos to one place. I would think you need to remove 4 of them because they are basically showing the same thing.
Let me know how you want to proceed.
Cheers
If you prefer I could give you some specific feedback with screenshots via private message.
Cheers
@MortenCopenhagen sure… please reply with whatever way you are comfortable… it will be my goodness if you reply me in private message… proceed it please…i am waiting for your message…
