Getting in touch with nature is something that makes fellow Google Moderator @TsekoV and I happy, so we wanted to share our stories and images for inspiration.
@TsekoV : “One of my favorite things to do is plan a getaway somewhere in the mountains, far from the big city and the crowds. In these secluded places, I feel joyful that I’ve left my comfort zone and dared to discover the world around me. I think about how grateful I am to be there, take the time to revisit my dreams, and more. I also remind myself of the importance of things, experiences, and people that make me feel alive and happy.
One place that I vividly remember visiting is the Belogradchik Fortress in Bulgaria. I was astonished at this combination between a natural rock formation and a man-made fortress. I went there with two friends, and we had a great time. I felt like I could stay for hours at the top of the rock and marvel at the view that opened up.
The happiness I experienced that day still lingers within me, and makes me dream of new adventures.”
@Aruni : “I’m a Thai who has lived abroad for many years and currently lives in Bulgaria. There are many things that I like here. For example, there are four distinct seasons when I can enjoy various activities in nature, such as skiing, mountain climbing, and going to the seaside. Each season is different and unique, and I feel happy when I spend time with my family outdoors. Whenever I have some free time, I go exploring the mountains. The moment I get there, I feel a sense of freedom and happiness deep within my heart. One of my favorite experiences is visiting Rila Mountain and hiking to the top of Musala Peak. At 2925 meters, this is the highest peak not only in Bulgaria but also in the whole Balkan Peninsula.
We started our journey early in the morning as it takes quite some time to reach the top. First, we had to take the 8.30 am cable car from Borovets. It took 25 minutes to reach Yastrebetz Hut from where the hiking trails began. We needed about four hours and a half to reach the peak, but it was worth it. I still remember the mesmerizing view of mountain ranges, lakes, and little forests below us.”
