Be part of a Local Guide is awesome because It gave me the opportunity to rediscover how amazing and important is Peruvian cuisine for the world, It is because of the unique ingredients and the story behind each plate.
First, every city where I traveled I could find Peruvian restaurants where I had the opportunity to eat and see the difference between eating outside of Peru; or, inside the country. So, It shows me how important are the ingredients that Peruvian has for each plate, are unique in taste, aroma, textures, and shapes. It happens because Peru has a diversity of ecosystems and regions that allow having very unique kinds of vegetables and fruits around the country. I am so happy that people around the world can know and value this.
Second, Peruvians had years of fusion in a natural way since the Inca civilization, Spanish conquest, African immigrants, the Italian, the Japanese, and Coolies Chinese. It makes our cuisine very unique and brings a story behind the cooking of each plate. That’s what I would like to show to the world through my experience in each restaurant and as a Peruvian about how, when and why It was created and the meaning of each plate.
I am so happy that Local Guide gave me the opportunity to rediscover the Peruvian cuisine, and let me show to the world that Peru has a lot to offer.
