Rediscover Western Australia's southern forest

Winter is a lovely time to take a trip down south, especially the Southern Forests region.

We stayed at Stargazers on Vasse Hwy in Peerabeelup. It’s approximately 30 minutes from Pemberton. They have small cottages and glamping suites.

The glamping suite is a new offering and worth a try. The tent is large enough to accommodate a queen bed, and 2 armchairs. It also includes a pot belly fireplace. Romantic, clean and cosy.

I would recommend either grabbing supplies from Pemberton IGA and make use of the bbq in the rustic kitchenette or grabbing a picnic hamper from Ampersand winery (500 metres) down the road for romantic dinner for 2.

If you have time, grab some delicious handmade chocolates from Southern Forests Chocolates 20 mins south.

Alternatively visit Beedelup Falls, just 17 minutes south of Stargazers.
