We traveled for the last two years from Cincinnati OH to Florida for a cruise during the Christmas time.
Part of the fun is to experience new locations on the way there.
So although it is much easier to fly, missing all this great places you can see and spend one night in, is a total waste of a great vacation.
So get the van ready, and create a list of recommended cities /locations to visit on the way to and from south Florida. The below is on a nutshell. More detailed information when you Google each location:
Charlotte, North Carolina- Tour the city and it’s beautiful statues and lovely buildings and restaurants;
Nashville, TN with the great nightlife located on Bourbon St;
Atlanta, GA- Most recommended to visit the Coca-Cola visitor center- The kids would love it (and so did we!)
Fort Lauderdale, FL- Don’t miss the cruise on the city canals , see the beautiful and unpardonable houses along the shore.
Key Largo- the first and one of the largest FL keys;
Key West, FL- don’t miss the beautiful Sunset at Mallory Square
Savannah, GA and the amazing historical area near the shore;
Ashville, NC with it’s great nightlife and lovely and developing city that was graded as one of the most beautiful places to see in the US.
