We all local guides know that we are contributing for the societies at free of costs since it is about helping the people and help is required from our honest minds.
But still I think recognition should be given to the people for their works.

yes bro. I wl agree with your comments@dghosh
I agree with you, @dghosh
Great Local Guides are recognised here in Connect and in the newsletter from Google Maps every month.
Guiding Stars, Accessibility Champions, great contributors, just to give you an example.
Personally I think this is the best way to recognise a great contributor, and it is not in contradiction with the fact that, as you said, we are helping others. An amazing Local Guide, @DavidTerronPla is featured in the last newsletter, have you seen it?
Hello @ErmesT
Thank you so much for your recognition.
I always try to do my best every day to help the best way I can the small businesses and over all the people who need informations about them.
I am so honored and super grateful that Google Maps have capted this.
Thank you so much again Ermest.
Yes sir @ErmesT I have seen some emails where many people have been featured for their contributions but my point is different like if Google map sends digital certificate to people who have crossed extra miles to help the society
Anyway thank you so much for reminding me the contributions of some great people and I think their contributions will aspire us to do something better.

@dghosh as I concur with your sentiment. I want to encourage you to keep guiding, let it be a passion to help others see and know more about our cities and localities.
