Recife, land of Carnival and great beaches. 300 days of sunshine. A big city it has all the amenities a first world city has to offer. Unfortunately, very few people know about Recife. When Brazil is mentioned, the first city that comes to mind is Rio. Rio is too dangerous for tourists. Stray bullets everywhere. Too many gangs in the hills slums. No one is safe. Recife does not have this problem
