Getting a gift from Google feels like a whole new experience. If you’re not part of the Google Local Guides, it’s hard to describe just how intense this happiness is.
The story begins with the world’s most used map platform, Google Maps. This was my second gift from Google, which brought me pure joy and excitement. The gift was a notebook. Imagine, a gift coming all the way from Sweden to your doorstep via the post office – how would you feel? Think about it, and you might start feeling eager to start contributing too.
Nowadays, thanks to technology, we love having everything at our fingertips. As a result, the map is now easily accessible to all of us for free, which is a great example of how technology has made things straightforward.
In the past, when visiting a new place, we had to rely on printed maps to learn about the area. Now, there’s no need for that.
Through the Google Local Guides mapping program, new success stories of volunteers are being created every day. This not only helps individuals and societies but also enhances communication and brotherhood on a global scale, increasing the acceptance of volunteers worldwide.
I want to thank the Rajshahi Local Guide team for always guiding me in the right direction. My gratitude goes out to all the volunteers of Google Local Guides and the officials involved in awarding these prizes.
