Recapture from the capture

Hi, Hello and Vanakkam.

Vanakkam is greeting someone in Tamil language in India. I am going to discuss one of my favorite Temple visit. My usual practice is whenever I visit a temple, I just take photographs where we are permitted to take and afterwards recall and cherish my experience by seeing them.

Yes I RECAPTURE THE CAPTURE of my camera.

In my previous posts I have posted pictures of many Temples. Below are the pictures of one of the most famous temples in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, India.

This is VARADARAJASWAMY TEMPLE. This temple is a very big ancient one dating back to 11th century. It is a marvelous architectural splendour. You can see the intricate designs with gaps curved on the pillars.

You can notice the painting on the ceiling painted centuries back. I really don’t know the exact age of the painting. is again an incredible one.

The picture below is again the same mandap from where you can view the Gopuram of the Main presiding Diety.

The picture below is the in front of the Main Diety Temple with many pillars. Just sit here and close your eyes, medidate and pray to God

Please see my previous post Re: Granite Chain. I have mentioned the carving of chain from rock. That one is also a part of this temple in the entrance itself. What I have told about the Temple is just 10 per cent only.

Hope you enjoy reading this post. Thanks for the same.

@Gurukrishnapriya Thanks for sharing valuable photos of intricate structures in this temple. Olden structures are mesmerizing when one has the time to understand and appreciate the art and hard work gone into creating these.

It would be good to also share the location of the place in Google Maps, so readers like me know which temple these photos are taken from. Believe you are in Kachipuram? A quick look online reveals quite a few famous temples there. One day I will visit.

Also, it would be really nice to have a good title for your post. For example “Photos from a famous temple in Kanchipuram” etc. It will help others more easily locate and find posts that we are interested in.
