With an idea started by @HelloSamsonR we, Maharagama Local Guides - Sri Lanka organized Map Edit in Maharagama city. This is the first ever meet-up hosted in our city and it was really happy to arrange a success meet-up. We scheduled meet-up from 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. on 22nd July. Me myself, @VirajN @ and @NalinK were the only participants who attend.
We started near of National Youth Center, Maharagama and walked to right side first and then to left side. There was many missing places added and while adding some shop owners become friendly to get to know about this map editing. And since this was new thing to city some of them bit afraid first, but when explained they were more happy to add their place on map.
And there was many places with missing information. We used missing info section on contribution page and filled them with information we got.
Around 6.30 p.m. we finished map editing and had a chat while having some snacks. And we thought to have another meet-up soon since there was many and more places need to add and fill missing information which may very useful for users because Maharagama is one of major seasonal city and very popular for clothing.
