Gorai Beach

It was an amazing experience to be the part of “World Wide Geo Walk Season II Hidden Friendship Gems, Explore your neighborhood with your Friend” initiated by our beloved brother @OSAMA from Jordan.
Mumbai is a city with lots of less explored places. We decided to explore the Gorai beach, which is one of the most beautiful beach in Mumbai. We explored the coastal area far away from the Mumbai’s Chaos.
As informed to everyone, we met at the meetup starting point i.e. Borivali Railway Station. Nilesh was the early bird, who reached before time. Then Balvinder Bhai arrived and after that our new female member of the community, Papia appeared. (However we had to make some efforts to locate her, at the busy and crowdie station of borivali).
After that, we proceeded towards our meetup location, we took auto rickshaw for Gorai Jetty Ferry Point, there we met our most active member Shruti.
We crossed the sea (Gorai Creek) in a Ferry. After crossing the creek we hired a Horse-Cart for next 5 kilometer to reach our destination. This was a great scenic way with lush greenery everywhere. For a moment we couldn’t realize that we are still in the one of largest metropolitan of the world. During the ride, we did live streaming of our GeoWalk Meetup on YouTube. We also had a great video calling with our wonderful local guides on hangout.
After having an amazing horse-cart riding, we reached our destination Gorai Beach. We spent a wonderful time there. Unfortunately we had been a little late, so we missed the splendid sunset scene. However we got lost in the amazing beauty of Gorai Beach, away from chaotic crowd of Mumbai.
