I am going to share my experience on a Map edit meetup which I conducted with respect to Worldwide Hospital Edit Meetup by Sagir, Nigeria. First of all sorry for my late post, I was totally busy for a few days due to my studies.
Let me start with the meetup morning, I went to meetup place a little late due to traffic and I waited for few minutes for meetup attendees but unfortunately I was unable to meet any Local Guide joining this meetup so I went by myself and started the meetup. I added Medical pharmacies with photos to Google Maps on my meetup walk and I reached Victoria Hospital, Bengaluru.
I started taking photos inside Victoria Hospital and I get to see different departments like Out Patient Department, Radiodiagnosis, Central Laboratory, etc.
I also took photos of the canteens inside the Hospital. During the meetup when I was taking photos inside the Hospital, A respectable worker woman of this Hospital called me and asked why I am taking this photos, I then simply sat near her and explained that this photos will be going to helpful to countless number of people all over the world at anytime since it will be uploaded to Google Maps and whenever someone search this Hospital and they could see the Hospital with the photos in Google Maps which Local Guides like me and whenever someone search this Hospital and they could see the Hospital with the photos in Google Maps and my reviews which I write about my visit could help people anytime. And on hearing that from me in English, she became so happy and she explained this to her co worker who was sitting next to her in regional language, Kannada. She then suggested me to learn Kannada which is the regional language of Karnataka and I didn’t know Kannada since I am new to Karnataka. She also thanked me for my contribution to the community and I was like ‘Woah… thanks to you for your encouragement…’. I then ended the meetup by having my breakfast outside the Hospital. This meetup was great and I had a wonderful moments during the meetup even I was the only one to be in the meetup.
I thank @Sagir for his amazing initiative. I extend my thanks to previous Worldwide event organizers, @HelloSamsonR , @OSAMA , @BudionoS , upcoming Worldwide Photo Walk meetup organizer @AlejandraMaria and the Local Guides across the globe. My thanks to Local Guides Team for their continuous support and encouragement. Happy Guiding and Happy Mapping!
Well done @SalmaanN You are a really motivated Local Guides. Good experience you had with the woman as well also advising you to learn a new language, that would be very useful to you in your day to day activities. Thanks for sharing your recap experience with us. In the end the mission was accomplished and experience and happiness gained. Good to see useful places such has medical facilities not yet added to the Google Maps are added to help someone in need, should in case of emergency. Keep up the good work and impact you are making in your community.
Thank you so so much for your encouraging words, @HelloSamsonR . The meetup experience was as usual surprising. As you said ‘In the end, mission was accomplished’. I will try my best in every meetup to make it succesful. :))
Fantastic initiate and inspirational recap about Bengaluru hospital for theWorldwide Hospital Edit walk. Organised by @Sagir from Nigeria.
Very impressive photos plus excellent news that you connected with the staff at the hospital and explained about Google Maps Local Guides Connect.
Really good to show all different areas of the hospital as part of your Google Maps review. Plus also including the canteen is fantastic information to share for local people looking to visit the hospital to see the inside as well.
It is also very good that you include video on your review for Google Maps and here in Local Guides Connect.
Also because it is very good that we can always share each other’s recaps as well, I am sharing this in Google+ too.
Thank you again for all your excellent contributions. Sharing reviews as well as recaps will let lots of people share the information here as well, that is all so helpful, and a great reason why it is all about sharing and you are a caring
Google Maps Local Guide who cares and shares a lot.
Thanks a lot for your encouraging words, @AkmalB . As you said, I will not mind about number of attendees, I will try to give my level best in every meetup to contribute to Google Maps and for the betterment of my community. :))

You have done great @SalmaanN , as always.
Very inspirational meet-up and recap. You were alone but doesn´t matter, the important thing is that you were there, one person is enough for adding the information missing
