[RECAP] World Wide Photo Walk in Nablus

Hello,

This time the meetup was initiated by one more amazing local guide, she is one of the special people I have met during LGSummit17 … Alexandra, million thanks to her and to everyone who supported the meetup …

Nablus is a beautiful city located between 2 mountains - Ebal and Gerizim which allow the people in city to have panoramic view of the other part of the city, The city was named by the Roman Neapolis 72 CE, yes its old :), there are many unique things about this city, Samaritan are living in Nablus mountains, it’s the origin of the best Arabian sweets Kunafa, very famous of its Soap, springs available in all parts of the city

The city is called sometime back as the small Damascus as many part of the city looks the same

For the city name, as per Wiki Pedia - Nablus (Arabic: نابلس‎ Nāblus [næːblʊs], Hebrew: שכם Šəḵem, Biblical Shechem Škem, Greek: Νεάπολις Νeapolis)

One interesting part of the city that wherever you dig couple of meters deep, you will find more historical parts of an older city

The meetup was one more success, I had friends any family joined as part of the meetup, including my wife and my 2 kids – Ahmad and Mahmoud, we enjoyed the tea in one of the oldest coffee shops in the city, then we moved to Menara area, walked in the old city where you can smell the Jasmine almost everywhere, visited few local small sweets factories and sure little portion of local food, our journey took around 2 hours …

I am late for the recap as I had to spend my time with family, now I feel like ice age guy as the recap of the recap was published last month
