Recap: World Wide Hospital Edit Walk - Lagos

Hello…

this is one of the amazing meet up. As a local guide you are always happy to make input on google map so that other people will benefit from it when they need it; for this Hospital edit walk its so amazing that your information will help a person in dear need or even save his life.

on the day of meet up we meet at Surulere Leisure mall where we have some chart and we plan our movement while drinking some tea before going out for our edit walk.

we are able to cover some hospitals around the Bode Thomas area of Surulere, Lagos where most of the hospitals we visited were on the map already and their information is ok.

we face a challenge the process where by most of the hospitals refuse us taking pictures even though we explain very well to them is for their own good and the public. all the efforts were abortive.

this are Hospitals we visited a screen shot of the area

After this we then move to the near by Diagnostics centre where we are lucky that they received us and allow us to take some pictures of the outside of the facility after making the edit.

on our way we discover a pharmacy that has a mini clinic where a doctor sees patients for free. Not only that they are conducting free medical examination every quarter thus every 3 month for all the public. Guest what? they are doing the one of 1st quarter 2018 when we arrived. we participated for the free medical examination and the Doctors were very friendly.

it was amazing experience.

my thanks goes to @AustinCO making it to the meet up and special thanks to @HelloSamsonR @Osaka78forTRUMP @Justine2807 and @AlejandraMaria for your motivation and all that in one way or the other took part in World Wide Hospital Edit Walk in your various places…

thanks

Glad you participated in this worldwide initiative, @Sagir . Sorry to hear that you ran into some problems with taking photos but I am guessing the staff want to protect the privacy of their patients. As always, we encourage Local Guides to put their own safety and others’ wishes for privacy as first before anything else. It’s completely OK to not take that photo because a review is equally powerful. And finally, yay to free health check-ups — aren’t they the best?
