Christmas is an annual festival observed primarily on December 25th as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world and in almost every country on the world map.
On this Christmas we decided to capture some great photos to show the world how people in Pakistan celebrate Christmas together with great religious unity.
So here is the Recap of Christmas Photo walk Karachi, and I would like to Tag my friends @MariaNgo for creating wonderful initiative World Wide #ChristmasInMyCity Challenge and @JaneBurunina for giving me great ideas. This post is the part of this Great Challenge to showcase my city Karachi for Christmas Celebrations.
As usual I was there with my local guide friend from Karachi @Bilal_shaikh (Muhammad Bilal) some 15 minutes before the time, so we can decide the places where we have to walk, capture Christmas celebrations in our cameras and map/edit the places on Google maps.
We were excited because this time we were going to meet three new local guides, whom we talked alot in our social media groups, but would meet for the first time in real.
Our guest was @SimonAndrews (Simon Andrews), who was in Karachi from Lahore for business trip, but we didn’t want to miss the chance to meet this talented photographer and local guide
In the time being we all together with @Rahul_02 (Rahul Kumar) and @Kifayat_Ali_Shah (Kifayat Ali Shah) , we came to know that it was their first meetup ever.
So I started with introduction and purpose of local guides meetups and walks. And explained them why local guides around the world orginize and host meetups in almost every country of the world.
We started our photo walk in Bohri Bazar and captured many great snaps of decoration for Christmas, Christmas trees, lightings, flowers and other stuff, shops was covered with these all items. And there we saw many faces gleaming and beaming with the happiness of festival.
Along with photo walk , I explained them what is wheel chair accessibility? And how important to add information on Google Maps about Accessibility entrances, ramps , washrooms and lifts to guide people who want to visit any place but need information before their visit and ofcourse about the #oneAccessibility Project & World Wide Accessibility Walk that how local guides are creating awareness by Thier posts and actions in different parts of the world.
My friends were happy that they learned some new things and they made Thier time so much precious by not only gaining these important knowledge but did practical with other local guides.
I can consider this meetup/walk very successful because all in this time we share alot of knowledge with each other.
And the main part of this success goes to Simon Andrews, Kifayat Ali Shah , Rahul Kumar and Muhammad Bilal, who came and spent Thier precious time to learn all this things which can be surely useful for thousands of people in Karachi.
Meetup ended with delicious fried fish and chicken at Yadgar fish Restaurant Karachi.
In the end I want to say Merry Christmas and Happy new year to all of Local guides, who are doing great job in every part of the world.
