How long since the lockdown kept you indoors? You bet it’s been months and it’s evident we all miss hanging out and socializing like before. Given the easing of the lockdowns by the authorities and opening of tourist destinations and movements in the state, and although things are a bit different now, we decided to come together just like yesteryears to catch a breath of fresh air outdoors, and this time, at the coastal waters of Lagos, Nigeria.
The meetup was held at the famous Alpha Beach in Lekki - one of the major Islands in Lagos. The waters from this beach extend well into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of West Africa. I would love to show you a bit of our outing and chilling escapade. The pictures album is just in the link at the end of this article.
We set out to capture the great sea life and reconnect by sharing time together whilst watching as nature takes its shape in the early hours of a beautiful weekend. As early as 7 AM WAT, we were scheduled to arrive at the beach. That’s pretty early, you know! ?
We had a fun-filled 2-hour sightseeing and photo walk along the inexplicable shores of the Alpha Beach in the country’s largest city. Meeting and interacting with @SanyaOdare and @MrFreez once again was one of the best experiences this month. It’s almost the end of July and we needed an escape plan to leave and connect outside the virtual world. It totally felt like FREEDOM!
This meetup was limited to just 10 people physically but was open to everyone to join virtually from the comfort of their home via Google Meet. We want to thank @Ewaade_3A, @Uchenna and @ogewuru for joining us virtually and sharing in our experience of the early morning tides and the beautiful sunrise of the Lagos coast
I would love to show you more of our experience as the pictures are limited in this write-up. I hope you enjoyed seeing these pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them. See more pictures of the beach and Atlantic sea in this ALBUM.
