Recap. - Baisakhi.
My first virtual meetup on Baisakhi on 14 th April 2020.
Firstly I really thankful yo my co-host Dear Falguni Pahleja.
Feelings Connected with Mumbai team bonding LG Shruti.
Meetup started & I felt energetic to see more than 30 LG community members attend from India & different countries few friends were invited my our senior mentors felt blessed.
As it was my first meet up was well planned, but still I was getting goosebumps & was very nervous also, but then I spoke to Shruti, She said “be relax rosy we all there with you, don’t worry everything will go well.”
I can speak for hours but, for first time with guest from different countries you are bound to be bit nervous.
My first virtual Local Guides meet up started as per planned, My Co Host FalguniP asked LG to introduced themselves, that time our senior LG Guru Priya shared how they celebrate New year in Chennai.
Then I took the charge told how we sikh community celebrate Baisakhi Our New year, & how Guru Gobind Singh our 10 th Guru Established Kalash Panth in 1699 in Anandpur Sahib in Punjab.
It’s harvesting time also in Punjab, People there sing & dance also, we have Baisakhi ki Raat( Night) in city where singing & dancing show is there followed by dinner.
This year on 13 & 14 th April Sikh community in India & all over world did not celebrate Baisakhi due Covid 19 ,there was no celebration in Gurudwara’s also only they have regular prayers & every day, preparing langar ( Food ) serving people by giving food packets.
Then LG from Assam, Bengal, Orissa Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mangalore also shared there way celebrating New Year was happy to hear them also. Every one enjoyed the session.
Some of LG told they visited Gurudwara some wanted to have langar, I told them after the lockdown they can visit a Gurudwara.
LG friend Lily from Nigeria wanted to have kada Prasad ( sweet halwa made from wheat flour, sugar, pure ghee & water is used .) then told her will send her the recipe or can have meet up on cooking on-line , live demo to make kada Prasad.
It was nice experience due to lockdown we cannot move out but Google Hangout has brought us close to each other since few days attending meet up,meeting new guest on-line,listening to them got easy connect to them, was marvellous experience, I could share my celebration of Baisakhi with my LG friends.
