Hello dear friends,
This is the RECAP of the second session of the three-part Virtual Meet-up Series; the next & final part will be concluded soon.
Date: 20th April; Time: 6:30 to 7:30 pm IST.
Guest Speaker: Tejal (Gujarat, India) Host: TravellerG (Bangalore, India)
Meet-up Mode: Virtual only.
The meet-up started 15 minutes before the scheduled time, as our senior LG Guru Priya offered to show us some part of the world-famous Thanjavur main temple virtually. The session with her commentary was excellent, with an impressive video. This virtual show concluded by 7 p.m., and all were ready for the meet-up.
Most attendees joined by 7:05 p.m., and Tejal started the formal meet-up. The first session was a quick glance at the first virtual meet-up of Canva, which was successfully conducted on 23rd Feb; it also helped those who missed the first session.
Then, the guest speaker gave an introduction to the ‘New Features’, which were recently introduced in Canva - this started with a brief video from Canva. Tejal started with a brief overview of Canva’s journey into AI-powered design. Then there were more detailed discussions on how to create AI-generated Stories, followed by an explanation about different formatting tools. She also explained how AI is integrated seamlessly to enhance creativity and productivity.
Key Features Discussed:
-
Magic Write (AI text generator): Helps generate copy for social media posts, blog outlines, product descriptions, and more.
-
Magic Edit & Magic Eraser: Edit images effortlessly: remove unwanted objects or transform parts of an image with a few clicks.
-
Text to Image: Create custom images by simply typing a prompt — perfect for unique and creative visuals.
-
Translate: Instantly translate text across designs into multiple languages with Canva’s AI translation feature (though this feature needs more development).
A few more points were mentioned and were reserved for the 3rd session.
By 7:20 pm, the platform started the interactive session, and it was very interesting and very informative. Formally, we closed the meetup at 7:32 pm, though we continued till 7:50 pm.
Hello, dear Tejal - you took a lot of effort to make the event a grand success, and we all thank you for it - your dedication is well appreciated; of course, special thanks and regards to our disciplined audience. Would like to mention our dear @kumaarsantosh and Dr @K.K.Sharma ji for their active involvement.
Hope you all enjoyed the RECAP; hope you will remember to join for the 3rd session, which will be announced soon.
Thanks to all once again.
