This was another fun-filled meet up with the participation of four fellow local guides along with me. Me, @KrithikaA , Charles and Aja from Batticaloa local guides reached the destination before a couple of hours as we traveled on one vehicle from Batticaloa to Trincomalee which is around 130 km far away.
The meet-up destination, Thirukoneswaram temple in Trincomalee is a cool place to visit. This is a Hindu temple located on top of a mountain surrounded by ocean. The entrance to this temple is through an ancient fort.
This reminded me my previous meet-up with @AnuradhaP at Galle fort and the Batticaloa fort which I use to visit quite often. Along the road to the temple, we could see many deer groups. Also, there were many safety guidelines for the travelers on not to feed the wildlife and all.
We four first climbed up to the temple and were watching the nice scenery. We captured a lot of photos and were relaxing under the shade of a tree waiting for @Shafranlive to come and join us. While waiting we could read many stories about the origin of the statues and monuments at the temple. After a little wait, Shafran joined us with his 360 camera and his iPhone 8x. (Which was the highlight of the day). As capturing photos inside the temple was restricted, we started capturing the beauty of nature, especially the sea view, the scenery of fishing boats, engine boats riding around the temple. The sky and the ocean itself gave us a very relaxing sensation.
Today, after Shafran joined us, the whole meet up was about capturing better quality photos for google maps and the most suitable devices and their special features. Shafran, the pro of latest devices and their special features gave us a lot of clues and captured a lot of photos of our faces too. After having a very relaxing and a fun-filled meet up at the mountain top surrounded by the ocean, we returned to the car park walking along the road lined with many boutiques selling crafts, traditional food items and quite a lot of juice bars selling orange juice, orange juice, and ice creams. These juice bars were a highlight when we were climbing and was like a soothing place from the hot sun. The craft shops included hats, handbags and many seashell crafts. After capturing some nice photos of them, we reached the car park and drove home with lot of photos and fun.
