This time, we visited a vegan restaurant in Shinjuku, Tokyo, “AIN SOPH. Journey SHINJUKU” and we talked about vegan/vegetarian food while dining. Thank you for joining us @Anzu @Izumi @Christine_T and friends!
In Japan, most of the people don’t know what the vegan/vegetarian is and what they are able to eat in reality. For example, they use a soup stock for Miso soup almost every day. But they have forgotten the soup stock includes fish because they have never thought about it.
As other examples, numerous cakes in Japan include gelatin, but even some pastry chefs don’t know it is made of animals.
I want them to learn what is vegan/vegetarian and various dietary restrictions.
As a first step, I recommend trying to eat vegan/vegetarian food in reality. Recently, these foods have been improving gradually. I have realized everyone can enjoy it.
There are a lot of kinds of food restrictions due to thought/religion/allergy. I hope we understand one another and enjoy eating together with people all over the world.
