Hello Local Guides,
This time our Ayamonte Local Guides Community joined the World Wide Geo Walk guided by Osama from Jordan who encouraged Local Guides to discover hidden gems all around the world.
Our Community travelled to Bruges, an Unesco World Heritage City in the heart of Belgium (west Europe).
We were a mix of Spanish and Belgian Local Guides.
First of all we went to the turist office, got some maps and defined our visit of the city.
Started at the Belfry Tower in “Market Square” .
Went to Burg Square and see the The Bruges City Hall . From the 13th to the 15th century, was a centre of trade (especially in fabrics, clothes ) between the Flemish and the Mediterranean countries.
This wealth give the characteristic Gothic style of the city.
Its channels allowed the commerce by boat. Now at days is a way of make tourism.
We felt that made a travelled to the past until the Medieval age and couldn´t stop taking photos…
And We discovered The Smallest Gothic Window in the world.
Belgium is well known for their beer. And we surprised that most brands have their own type of glass.
We bought some delicious Cheeses for dinner.
And of course try the well known Waffles and Chocolate.
We really had a great time
Thank you very much to all of you that made this posible.
If you want you can watch the video of our recap…
